MY GENDER MAKES ME SELF-CONFIDENT

WHAT IS SELF CONFIDENCE? Let’s discuss. Tell me what you think self-confidence is. Well said, that shows we all have an idea of what we are discussing today. Let’s divide the word into 2 and we’ll have SELF and CONFIDENCE. Self means an individual person as an object of his own reflective consciousness, and confidence means, in a nutshell, trust or a feeling of assurance.
So we can say a lady’s Self-confidence is her self-trust or self assurance. It’s important to know that your self confidence is based on your self-worth. It’s the value of your person- not your clothes or bag or phones- that makes you confident. People around you may want to intimidate you by their actions or their words, but it’s your responsibility to always keep your self-confidence intact.

So this brings us to this question, can you be self confident as a young woman? or is your gender a reason to be fearful?
·         Your gender is never a reason to lack self-confidence. You should be proud of your gender. As a young woman, you must believe in gender equality. This means that no gender is inferior to the other. Certainly, there are cultures and traditions that suggest otherwise but it is left to you to choose whether to accept that or to live confidently. Your gender is not a deformity but a source of strength.

·         You must believe in your femininity. The word YOU has 3 letters and they stand for Your Own Uniqueness. Your gender is your uniqueness and when coupled with your talents, your gifts, and your belief in yourself, you become a super-girl.

·         Never allow your so-called deformity or imperfections rob you of your confidence. Everybody has one imperfection or the other, they don’t make us incomplete but rather they make us unique. Every one of us has something we consider to be not okay—to be a deformity. We can consider ourselves deformed or we can see ourselves as special. And that choice will determine how we live our lives.

·         Whenever you take a look at yourself in the mirror, call yourself by name and say “You are beautiful”. This does not only reinforce your self-confidence but makes you more comfortable when others compliment you, and when they don’t, you don’t miss it.
